About LIEBIG®
LIEBIG® – The ORIGINAL Anchoring Technology
Since 1946 when Heinrich Liebig founded his files and tools business, the originality and innovation that the LIEBIG brand stands for, was born.
By 1980 Liebig had designed and patented the expandable locking toggle, and the positive locking toggle bolt which activated expansion segments by way of an ingenious spring-loaded mechanism. In 1981 he patented the tool that creates the perfect undercut shape needed to house the expansion shells of the positive locking toggle.
Since then LIEBIG anchoring systems have provided unrivalled strength in cracked and non-cracked concrete and in the most demanding of environments; power plants, nuclear establishments, water treatment plants, petrochemical and pharmaceutical plants.
Challenging applications have become the norm and not just complicated building structures. Installation of ‘super tall’ chimney stacks, crash barriers, crane installations are all typical.
LIEBIG Ultraplus and Safety Bolts have been deployed in countless nuclear and seismic situations across Europe and the UK, Asia, Brazil and the USA.
All LIEBIG products are renowned amongst civil and structural engineers for their high quality and anchoring capabilities; hallmarked classics with engineered modularity that ensures all LIEBIG anchors are easily adapted to create bespoke lengths and assemblies quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.
In 2008 the brand and assets was acquired by the American company SIMPSON StrongTie, and in 2012 ownership went to the Finish company SORMAT. When the German owned fastener specialist EJOT Gmbh acquired SORMAT in 2017, a commitment was made to put the strength and innovation of LIEBIG products, plus the technical data and consultation that supports it, firmly back into the hands of engineers and contractors.
Structural engineers and construction professionals around the world have embraced the unique power and reliability of LIEBIG’s® original anchoring technology.

LIEBIG's brand and assets was acquired by the American company SIMPSON StrongTie.
SIMPSON StrongTie, then sold ownership of LIEBIG to the Finish company SORMAT.
German owned fastener specialist EJOT Gmbh acquired SORMAT and along with it, LIEBIG. EJOT made a commitment, to put the strength and innovation of LIEBIG products, plus the technical data and consultation that supports it, firmly back into the hands of engineers.
LIEBIG with the backing of EJOT, are more dedicated then ever, to prove that LIEBIG is still the undisputed brand for the highest quality undercut anchoring technology, and righting the brands inaccessibility in recent years, by delivering the support, performance data and outstanding products to engineers globally.
